Are they installed in the correct slots? (0 and 1 I think). I don't think it
is necessary
to seat them correctly. These older modules you slide in at 45 degrees, then
the metal pins, that hold the modules, bend them back then move the modules
to a 90 degree. You do need a fair bit of co-ordination to get this right.

I guess if your fingertips are sore, you installed these modules incorrectly
anyway.
