Actually almost all Windows 95 installations will not support USB, even
through a parallel port. I say almost because I've heard of a rare Windows
"C" version that could support a marginally function USB port.

The cheapest way to connect it is to upgrade to 98SE which does support USB
and purchase a very inexpensive USB card (if your machine has PCI
slots). There "may" be some ISA USB cards out there but I'm doubtful.

And to answer your original question, there won't be a Parallel output to
USB converter because of some basic technicalities of how USB works and
signals required from the PC.

I have a relatively new Epson usb printer/copier combo. We bought it
primarily for use as a standalone copier, but it would be a bonus if it
could be occasionally used for printing with our older Win95 laptop. Are
there any converters out there to convert the parallel port signal into the
usb format? Searching, I've been able to find converters that do the
reverse, but none for this situation.

(The laptop actually has a usb port on it, but I've never had any luck
trying to get it to work, and had heard that usb didn't work very well under
win95.)
