Are you sure that it doesn't have a PS2 port? Is there a
mouse port? If so, that port is a dual port that can be
used with both a mouse and keyboard when you add a
splitter made for the ThinkPad. You can see one at:

I have a new IBM Thinkpad with Win 2000. The Thinkpad has
no PS2 port and I have a standard, no frills, PS2 keyboard
that just fits on my small keyboard tray. I want to keep
it and have gotten a PS2 to USB connector.
