Diane,

I have found with some older systems that the OS/NIC can only handle WPA-PSK and not the WPA2-PSK.

Subject: [PCBUILD] Wireless Router

*I'm trying to get my Compaq laptop running Vista to work with my router.
I'm using Comcast Broadband with an Arris modem plugged into my Netgear
router, which is plugged into my pc.

The laptop finds the signal, but can't connect. I have the Wireless
Security set as **WPA-PSK [TKIP] + WPA2-PSK [AES]** and have a password.

It's got to be a problem with my laptop. I have other wireless devices that
are able to use the network. It finds the network, but can't connect to
it. It has connected to one nearby that is unsecured.

Is it too encrypted for my laptop?

Thanks.

Diane
