  That setting is for TTL monitors connected through an original IBM
Monochrome Display Adapter (text only), Hercules Monochrome Graphics
Adapter (2 or 4 shades of green, amber, or whit, depending on
monitor) or a clone of either.  It's pre-VGA technology.
