Roberto,

The process of repair one of such Modems is expensive and takes you a lot
of time (assuming a real hardware failure), because you first need Info.
regarding such integrated circuits, after that you have to troubleshoot
the failure and would need special unsoldering tools for the Sourface
Mounting Technology. Another inconvenience would be if you live in a far
country, you have to place your order and wait for response and delivery
time. If you make some maths of your wasted money, you will realice that
is more cost effective to get a new one that repair it. This is hard in
poor countrys like mine (Mexico), where your economical condition forces
many times to try to perform repairs in order to save money, with the
result I told you.

Any way here is a good reference where you can find Info about
 Modems:

	http://www.igc.org/support4/modems.html

In order to get schematic drawings you should visit the
manufacturers and ask for them. Some times some companies have good
information or sell those eschematics. Another options is try to look for
circuits hackers on the Web, but many times it's not legal or the Info. is
not precise.

I hope this Info helps you!
	Un saludo!
