Not exactly.  But it has something to do with ide 'modes' (UDMA, DMA, PIO,
etc), some of which are faster than others, and the fact that the 6x doesn't
support all the new modes that the cdrw does.

Changing the older 6X CD-ROM to Master and the newer CD-RW to slave did the
trick.  Any one know why this works only this way?
