Asus support says their A7N8X-X board is
incompatible with mobile AMD XP-M processors
period. I have returned the mobile XP-M 2400+
35 watt processor for a regular XP 2600+

From threads on PCBuild and also in the Anandtech.com
guides, it seems that 45 watt mobile XP-M processors
should or do work with the A7N8X-X.

Maybe this is impossible with the 35 watt mobile XP-M
processor line.
