I agree with Thomas Harold's response.

 If you really want to use the old drive as the primary drive in your 
new system, there should be no hardware problem. The BIOS should 
automatically work with the new hard drive. Any issues will be with the 
OS software, as configured to work with the old hardware, adapting to 
the new hardware the first time you start up the new computer. Windows 
XP _may_ require that you use the installation CD to "repair" the OS. 
Also, you _may_ need to install new/updated drivers. These are certainly 
not difficult issues, but something you should expect.
