I'm considering the idea of getting a video card for the purpose of 3-D acceleration for games and would like some input. I would also consider upgrading the mobo/ cpu if that's what it takes: really I'm just tired of "TRIBES" running slow and looking like doo-doo and having to go play "UNREAL TOURNAMENT" on a friend's system... here's my specs: NEC READY 9840 DESKTOP SYSTEM (midtower atx case); Pentium 233 MMX; 64 megs sdram; 3 empty PCI SLOTS... don't know if more info is needed ( according to the NEC specs homepage, i have either an Intel 740 or 745 mobo; and whichever one it is, it's topped out at 233 Mhz..... comments? suggestions?
