Hi Robert,

Your post is very vague and leaves a lot of questions unanswered. If your 
objective is to retrieve data from the (unknown) 95 machine, probably the 
easiest way is to install the hard drive from the 95 machine in the XP 
machine as a "slave" and copy the data you need. You will need to check the 
XP machine's manual, hard drive label, or the hard drive manufacturer's Web 
site for the appropriate "jumper" settings and set them accordingly. If the 
IDE cable in the XP machine has provisions for a second drive, an additional 
cable is not needed.
