Yes,
The thermal paste is one thing I did remember each time. I've seen more than
one person do that, which sticks in my mind, luckily. Thank you for the
suggestion anyway.
However, I'm very embarrassed to say that another member has sent me a bios
beep code list, and I must have overlooked one of the codes when I checked
before, as I've seen a code there which seems almost identical to my
problem. I have no idea how I missed it before.
Although I have the recommended RAM installed, this particular beep points
to it being a ram problem, and I've run into this before.
On a previous board some time ago, I had a very similar scenario, and was
advised by Mike Scott to try a
single 128 MB PC100/16 low density ram module 16Mx64 non ECC, CAS 3 latency
It worked for that board, and I'm intending to try the same for this board,
if only just out of curiosity.
I will get back to the board once I have tried it, and let everyone know
whether it worked or not.
Thanks so far for everyones help and advice.
Michele Sayer
