They are both correct.  The processor runs at varying speeds up to a maximum
of 500 Mhz, depending on load.  Checking My Computer properties reported on
the current speed of the processor which was not fully loaded.  Belarc
loaded the processor prior to measuring its speed.

Subject: [PCBUILD] processor Question

I purchased a IBM Thinkpad that is to have a Intel P3 500 mhz processor.
When I checked properties in my computer it shows a 146 mhz processor. The
device manager shows a Intel P3 processor. I also ran belarc advisor it
shows a P3 500mhz. Processor. What is correct?
