Hello,

I have an issue with my new build.

Hardware specs: Gigabyte EP45-DS3L (BIOs ver. F9)
RAM: Kingston Hyper-X 2GB PC2-8500/DDR2/1066MHz
CPU: Wolfdale 3.16 GHz, 1333MHz FSB

My motherboard will not recognize my RAM as 1066. It sees it as 800. I upgraded to the latest BIOS, but still will not recognize it to 1066.

Any ideas on getting it to see the whole 1066? Is there a big difference between 800 and 1066? Could I damage my hardware by tweaking the BIOS settings?

Thanks.
