<xxcopy is a very powerful copying program that
copies system and hidden files, keeping directory structures intact.>

As I remember, DOS's xcopy doesn't copy hidden files. Am I correct?"

---------------

It is possible that the 'lower level' DOS xcopy MAY not copy hidden
files, however; as another poster already indicated, executing the
xcopy command

C:\>xcopy c:\*.* d: /r /i /c h/ /k /e /y

from a DOS window while running Win9x, using
the /r /i /c /h <hidden> /k /e /y switches will copy read-only and
hidden files. (Note: Don't forget to be certain you have changed
directory to the root of the drive - "cd\".) I have used this technique
successfully several times, particularly in a school computer lab
setting where all hardware and software are 'identical'. The only
glitch I have sustained is that it was necessary to enter the command
'sys d:' at the conclusion of the process to make the drive bootable.
