Subject: [PCBUILD] pc crashing when copying CD to CD

> Help please. . .
> I just bought a Plextor 12/10/32A CD-Writer and was trying to duplicate a
disk using Adaptec's CD Copier software. While it tries to grab the
information on both the Plexwriter and my regular CD drive from Leoptics, it
crashes my system, and I get the blue screen and message, "a fatal exception
0E has occurred at 0028-C29CAC8F. The current application will be
terminated." When I try to hit my escape key, I get a box saying, "Cd
Copier cannot find Easy Cd Creator. Please re-install Easy Cd Creator."
After hitting Ok, I get another box telling me that CD Copier cannot locate
a supported CD-ROM reader. You will not be able to make disk to disk
copies." I also found out that my power suppy only has 200W watts of power.
Can this be causing the problem? I have tried different ribbon cable
configurations and
> jumper settings too but to no avail.

Jal,

Make sure you are using Easy Cd Creator version 4.02d as this recorder is
not supported until this version.
