Marilyn,

I have used a cd cleaning kit on a cd and had good results. The cd drive
would not read any cd's including silver cd's. It read all data cd's as
audio cd's or the drive would just spin and finally lock the machine up.
After cleaning the cd rom with an Alsop cleaning cd it now reads all cd's
again.
