To everyone:
Thanks for the help. I was able to get it resolved,
without going back to Office Max, and returning the
drive. The solution was sort of embarassing in its
simplicity. I had a program that I assumed was the
same as the Nero disc I received with the drive. It
was Rick Glazier who mentioned OEM software, so I
found the disc that came with the drive originally,
uninstalled the Nero (Express) on the system, and
installed the OEM Nero CD. Thanks again for all your
help and suggestions!
