Hi Al-

I'm in the Adirondacks of NY so we have even colder temps than you all in winter!

I'd be leery of bringing in the cold, moist air- sounds like trouble to me.  You'll end up with condensation somewhere & that'll be the end of it all (or at least, the beginning of problems not easily narrowed down & solved?).

Why not just install a couple of 120mm fans, designed for PC's, into the side of the desk?  All you need is a cheap hole saw & you could attach them right to the desk- sight unseen?  Place one to blow over the hard drives & one over the memory/CPU.
