Your questioning made me stop and think about it a little more.  So like
a good little boy, I jumped on the web and started looking into it a
little more.  (I'm big enough to admit when I'm wrong.)  :)

And indeed, I was wrong.  Apparently, all Slot 1 motherboards will
support the Celeron.  I think that the 440EX chipset is what threw me --
it is the AGPset "optimized" for the Celeron.  My apologies.
