John,

Buying a new printer as a replacement for a
new cartridge seems a little extreme to me.
The cartridges for the new machine won't be
that much cheaper when they need replacing.

There are several third party companies that
sell compatible ink cartridges at about 1/2 the cost..

I have hadgood luck with Jet-Fill cartridges.
We buy through an office supply company, but
you can probably get them direct.
