Wromg. Maybe shops that just repair pc's don't work on them. There are
shops that specifically do repair monitors. Not as many but they do exist.


Usually if all four sides of the picture shrink there is a problem that
can't be adjusted out(a bad part). If you are just having a two sided
shrink on most monitors your going to have to take the cover off and look
for the adjustment screw. In most cases it is labeled either vertical
size, horizontal width etc. On high quality monitors some of these
adjustments can be made without taking the cover off.

A word about electrical shock. Just don't touch any parts with your bare
fingers while the set is on. The electrons will not jump out and shock
you. Some pc users will tell you not to mess with it at all. With some
caution as mentioned above simple adjustments can be made!
