Fast RAM will work with slow RAM. RAM speed is minimum. However, the slowest
RAM must be equal to the clock speed of the MB.

The reason it is not normally done is the fast RAM usually costs more, and
runs at board speed. It doesn't run faster just because the RAM is rated
faster.
