Patrick,

I seriously doubt that you will find a NEW notebook at that price.

If you shop around, you might get lucky and find a factory
refurbished machine for $700-1,000.

You might also try one of the online auctions.  I've heard of
some good deals and I've heard lots of real horror stories too,
so I guess ya pays yer money and takes yer chances with them.
