There are many possibilities, eg. bad drivers (especialy NIC, modem driver
since you exp more problem when connect to the net), windows became
corruptted, software, faulty hardware (eg. mobo).

You may troubleshoot step by step, Nospin has a step by step troubleshooting
guide.
