It is not good to assume...  I assumed the hard drive was not opened
when giving my answer. (Thanks Peter for your answer about that...)
It takes special tools to open mine and I had to buy them "special" just
to look at an HD that I knew was never going to work again...

When you open a hard drive case, you can expect to get a couple minutes
out of it (if any) since ANY amount of the smallest dust will destroy the heads
almost right away...
