By the way, is it a second hand hard drive?
I used a second hand one once before, and I had terrible trouble deleting
the partitions, as they would not respond to the usual fdisk. Like yourself,
only a small amount of disk space was available to me.
I downloaded a program called DELPART.EXE from the net, and it deleted it
straight away.
In fact, that particular hard drive has been fine ever since, and never
caused any problems so far.
