I just installed SP2 for XP yesterday, holding my breath as I did so. Since I use Zone Alarm, I disabled all of the Windows firewall settings. I was having trouble connecting with a dialup connection and when I was able to connect one connection speed was 2 kbps. I reinstalled the latest version of Zone Alarm and then the actual connection speed increased to 45.2kbps, but I am still crawling on the Internet. Email takes 10 times longer and downloads move at 1kbps or less. Forget about looking at a webpage while email is being checked, half the time Foxfire can not even find it if anything else is happening.

Before this I had installed a new modem and was zipping right along in the Internet. I have checked for updated drivers, but none are available.

Does anyone know of any setting or something else I may be missing?

Fran
