Jim,

I have bought several hard drives from Googlegear and they were shipped as
promised. All as advertised, no problems, no returns yet. I am planning on
making further purchases from them.

I haven't bought anything from TigerDirect for several years. When I did
order, the items were shipped as promised. However, the article another
list user referred to regarding TigerDirect almost exactly mirrors my
ex-wife's experience with them. She ordered a motherboard that included a
CPU and CPU fan. The CPU fan was too large and made contact with other
motherboard components. She described her experience with them as rude and
un-cooperative. She only got somewhere when she had a male friend call in
for her.

I am a network administrator for a college and my ex-wife is a network and
computer technician for a small city. She knows her stuff and I have not
bothered to buy from Tiger after her experience.

My problem, at this time, is not what to buy, but where to buy it. A couple
of companies that seem to have a great variety and good prices are
"Tigerdirect" and "Googlegear". However, I don't know anything about either
one.
