I have an MSI 845e Max 2 6398E mother board. I am running 512 MB Double sided  Kingston PC2100 ECC memory in the #1 slot. When I try to install memory in slot #2 Win ME starts in safe mode. when I try to restart again I get a windows protection error code. If I take it back it starts in safe mode and I have to run system restore to get it back to normal. I contacted Kingston support and they replaced both moduals and I still get the same thing.
