Hello to all

I have recently installed several Diamond SupraMax v.90 PCI modems. They
have all appeared to work properly from my workshop, as far as the software
install and configuration is concerned, and windows does not show any
conflict with them. I have also tested each by faxing to another number.

Here is my problem. One of the modems is installed on a PII/233 with 64 meg
ram, a tekram motherboard w/ AGP and an ATI xpert@work AGP 4 meg video card.
The user can fax just fine, but when he attempts to connect to his internet
provider, he connects but is immediately disconnected. I have used my
machine (p200 no MMX, no AGP) with the same modem and can connect
immediately to his ISP with his account.

Diamond was a 30 min wait period, and has not as yet returned my call (left
at their suggestion). Has anyone any thoughts on what might be the problem
with this setup? I have been unable to find anything on either the Diamond
or the ATI site. [I am looking at the video card as a possible culprit as I
had problems with another ATI AGP card]. The drivers for the video card
seem to be the latest, the modem may not be as their latest post is for
6/30/98.

TIA
