Hey Russ,

Captain 'DUH' here! Right you are. My pc does have the ide ribbons
to the dvd drives. I had a problem with an ide drive when it was first
built and had to switch to sata. I guess that was stuck in my feeble
brain.

Both ribbons have the center connection open so which would you
suggest setting as master?

As a side note, I also realized the external component that came with
the audigy sound card has ample inputs to use for the mixing board
connection. I had only used it before for my 7.1 speaker setup. So if
I can figure how to capture sound from the audigy with my Audition
software, I'll be cookin'! In the past, I captured with audacity then
transferred to Audition but... I'm getting into PCSoft territory so
I'll work on that part on my own for now.

Thanks,
-Phil-
