If the fan speeds up when the case gets hot, I'd think/(guess)
it had a built in sensor.
If the opposite, I'd check into it more...
You can't always tell by price, but better fans are more likely
to have sensors.

Hi all,

I recently installed a new 12v 80mm square case fan.
I now find that the case fan appears to spring up and down in speed..
Making a noise which one of my coleues refeed to as hunting.
I do not think the fan has a termp sensor as one is fitted to the cpu fan.

Cound this be caused by a psu probem. It appears to happen when the PC gets warm.
Pc brand 965 Viglen slimline model.
