I have a couple of boards here at home that are using DX50's (50mhz
bus made it pretty speedy for it's time!)without Ziff sockets...

No real problem to remove and reinsert chips..just have to take some
extra care to be sure that you apply pressure evenly when removing
and reinserting...ie..use the corner of a srewdriver to pry the chip
up a little in each corner..then in the middle of each side...the
usual precautions you would take with anything that had pins that
could bend...With insertion..even pressure again though I have
noticed that the chips go in more easily than they come out.

DX266 is indeed a clock doubled 33mhz so bus speed remains at 33mhz
