Hi,

Not sure if anyone answered you or not. PC2100 is DDR that runs at and is
also know as 266mhz DDR.
If the unit is running at the the 100mhz setting then I would not worry
about it.
When the system boots up, some BIOS's report the DDR memory speed. If it
does and it is at
266 or 2100 then you are all set.

Are you sure the frequency in the BIOS is for the memory and not the CPU?
You don't say which board or CPU you are running.

100mhz (pc2100) would be correct for a 400 mhz intel P4/celeron product and

133mhz (pc2700) would be correct for an Intel 533mhz, or 800mhz (pc400
better) product.

100mhz would be correct for an AMD duron, or an athlon up to 1.3-1.4 (200
bus speed)
133mhz would be correct for an Xp 1.4 and up ( 266 bus speed & 333 on some
boards)

Hope this answers your question somewhat.

Thanks,

Joe

=================================

I have just added to sticks of 256 PC2100 DDR to my pc i have got it going
ok, the thing i dont understand is that the memory ithink runs at 266MHz but
the frequency in the bios is set at 100 MHZ THE OTHER OPTIONS ARE 133 mhz or
auto, The last two options the pc will not run, I have taken the jumper for
the dram voltage off (the manual says 2.5 ddr open pins).

Can any one tell if the bios setting is correct for the memory that i have
got, I ran memtest and got no errors.
Any information on this would be appreciated.
