I don't know what it means, but my SCSI Epson has been running fine for two
years, and I get the some notation when I boot up???

Subject: NO BIOS INSTALLED!

I just installed an Adaptec SCSI host adapter card (PNP) for my Scanmaker
X6EL scanner. I noticed that when I boot up, it confirms the name of the
card, and the name of the scanner, and then I get a message that says-

BIOS NOT INSTALLED!

It continues to boot up normally. I haven't checked everything out yet, so
I don't know if the scanner works, but I thought someone might know what
the message means. Is it just letting me know that there is no BIOS on the
Adaptec SCSI card, or does it mean that I haven't done something that needs
to be done so the BIOS can be installed somewhere. I have no problem
accessing my BIOS setup, so I don't think that it has anything to do with
that.

Thanks,

Gary Kaucher
