My USR Sporster External 56.6K Faxmodem does the same thing ; even after I just
installed Win98, same thing;  connections that should be around 46-49 show up as
the
maximum port speed of 115,200 instead of the actual connection rate. The problem
seems to liw with windows 95/98 and the V90 software and not the individual
make/model of the modem! Sorry for no solution, but others must be having this
problem too!
