   You're lucky it ran very long at all after that double upgrade.
That's what we'd call a dirty dirty upgrade. *;-) It's time to back up
your data and format the hard drive. Installing Windows 98 SE to a clean
drive is called a "clean" install. If you have the upgrade CD you will
need the Windows 3.1 floppies or a Windows 95 CD to satisfy it during
the installation. Also the \Win95 folder alone from the Windows 95 CD
will satisfy the upgrade process if you can direct it to that folder (on
a Zip or Jaz drive or copied to the hard drive).
