First suggestion I can make is to try to start this board with no
accessories. That means no hard drives, cd drives, floppy, nothing. Just
the mainboard, video (use onboard if the board has it), and the RAM.
Make sure the RAM is fully seated, with no hair or dirt caught in the
slot (I've see a single hair caught on one contact prevent a stick of
RAM from working). If you have two RAM sticks, try the board first with
one stick, checking each slot one at a time, and then with the other
stick, same story. Do these changes one baby step at a time until you
get the board to fire up, that way you know what works. If the board
fails to work, take it back under warranty. If it does work with a
particular configuration, write it down before changing or adding
anything and see if the board is consistent in how it operates. You may
look at the mainboard manufacturer's website with a second computer to
see if they have any suggestions or updates to the user's manual.
