The first thing I would do if at all possible is to temporarily swap out
your memory. Window's accesses ram differently and more aggressively then
Dos and while your Dimms may show no sign of any problem in Dos you could
have serious problems in windows. If you have a single 128 meg Dimm then
you would need to swap it out with any other P 100 Dimm ....if you have two
64 Dimms then pull one first and run with just the remainder and then
switch them ...it is very unlikely both would be bad...one at a time until
the PC boots or remains stable long enough for you to be sure they are OK.

If the RAM is OK I would look for a conflict with the video card and / or
driver. Remove your existing driver.. Install a Windows generic SVGA driver
at 16 colors and see if the system runs stable. If it crashes....swap the
video card and try again.

Next I would load windows and shut off every thing you can see with task
manager.......except Explorer. Let it run like this for the day and see if
it reboots. If it doesn't then start adding things back one at a time until
you find the offending program.

I think you get the idea ...swap out and shut down hard ware and software
in logical...most likely first order until the spontaneous reboot
stops.....do these changes one at a time so you will know what brings about
a cessation of the problem when it occurs.

One other thing you could try...install a second bare bones generic install
of Win 95 on a separate partition.....or even pull your hard drive and use
another one if you have one available.........no devices...no drivers
....just the Win95 generic ones.....should use about 75 megs so the
partition could be 150 megs. If it runs ok then your ram is OK .......Then
starting adding things one at a time and see if you can re create the
problem ...and identify the source.

If after all this you still don't have a clue then start suspecting your
mother board.......but this would be at the very end of my list.

following one of your instructions I downloaded the burnin program from the
>PCbuild site and I found that in DOS my machine works fine. It was burning
