Hi Peter

The method you describe works in Win2K also. The result is the same as
what I originally described. (Either way shows 8 copies of my monitor...
one being added each time I upgrade the display adaptor, 7 extra hard
drives...added when I changed SCSI drivers, three copies of my CDRW
drive...etc.)

I don't know what to say if WinXP won't let you delete the NICs from
Device Manager. It seems to me that you should always be able to
delete hardware. Maybe keep trying?
