Hi all,

Is there a simple way to enable file and printer sharing (Win XP pro) when
computers are part of different workgroups/domains?

I have a small wireless network at home, and my wife and daughter both have
work-based laptops that they bring home. My wife connects to my router via
Cat-5 and my daughter via wireless. Both are able to share cable modem no
problem.

Both laptops are part of domains at their respective workplaces, and this
means that I have a mixture of one Workgroup (my home one) and two domains
(their workplace domains, respectively) when all are “connected”. Internet
sharing goes without a hitch but of course file and printer sharing are
no-no’s.

Can I overcome this barrier to file and printer sharing by any method OTHER
than having to go in each time and rename computers, workgroups and domains?

Michael
