Hello

My system no longer boots. I get a POST Beep, and the screen gets to the checking shared memory screen and goes no further. The HD Led shows no activity.

I Tried Resetting the CMOS jumper, and get the same results. Also tried a different cpu, still nothing.

Is this motherboard a hopeless case? All thoughts appreciated.

So, since I had a couple of P4-2.4 Ghz processors, I found an ECS board, used, with the same chipset and similar specs. Tried this in the system (same ps, hdd, as the initial system), with two different cpus, and this board does not get a POST Beep.

Question #2-What reasons would prevent a board from going to POST? Is it a bad board, or is there some other factor that I can troubleshoot to get this up and running.

Any help will be highly appreciated.

Thanks
Martin
