 A while back, I posted a question about replacement of the cmos battery in an old 486sx system I'm experimenting with.
 First, I would like to thank everyone for thier replies, both on this list and through e-mail.
I ultimately went with the cordless phone battery suggestion and after a bit of soldering it worked quite well. The only thing to remember about this method is to leave your system turned on for a day in order for the battery to charge.There should be no problems after that.Once again,thanks.
