Roger;
 I typed " VXD NAVAP" into a search engine
http://google.yahoo.com/bin/query?p=%22+VXD+NAVAP%22&hc=0&hs=0

NAVAP seems to be possibly related to Symantec ( norton) products.
You don't perchance have Norton anti-virus installed?
you might try un-installing and see if the prob. goes away
directions here to manually un-install norton anti-virus:
http://service2.symantec.com/SUPPORT/nav.nsf/docid/2001081507511406
Some talk of virus in the hits for VXD NAVAP, you might check to make sure
you don't have a virus or worm.

Subject: [PCBUILD] crash

I recently upgraded to Asus A7S333 motherboard, athlon 2000+ processor and
512Mb ddr memory. Now, following boot-up, every time I try to access drive
c: or a short-cut based on this drive, the machine crashes with
error-message

Fatal exception 0E at 0028:C02F07F7 in VXD NAVAP(02) + 00198DB. Current
application will be terminated.
