My son and I will be assembling a computer from parts.

(He got his grades up, so now I have to deliver on my
part of the bargain...)

I'm sure we will be looking for advice on this list many
times going forward.

To start: Could people make suggestions about parts
vendors they've had good experience with? I imagine
we will buy most of our parts online. We live in lower
Westchester Cty. (NY), so there, and possibly
Manhattan would be possibilities for bricks-and-mortar
parts stores.

Also: Info on vendors we might come across that people
would suggest we stay away from would also be very
helpful.

Thanks.
