Hi Ed,

My pet name for these is Deathpros. Anyway, F10 is the appropriate key.
Compaq machines have the configuration program for the BIOS installed on the
hard drive. If you are installing a new system disk you will need to go to
the Compaq web site and download the ROMPaq for your machine. They should
have instructions for installing it on the new hard drive there. It can be
tricky, so let me know off-line if you are having trouble and I will help
you through it.

Hope this helps!

Subject: [PCBUILD] Bios setu screen

> My son gave me a Compaq Deskpro 2000 computer with Win98 installed. I want
to install a larger hard drive in this machine but, I cannot seem to be able
to enter the bios set-up screen on boot-up. I've tried F1, F2, and Delete
but it just goes on and loads windows. I have to change some hardware
parameters but can't get into cmos to accomplish this. Any answers? Thanks
Ed Bogert
