Mary,

The printer was identified by the computer upon autodetection. Searching the internet I ran across a Japanese site that listed the HP660C as having the drivers to run the printer. Physically the printer resembles the HP600 series. Initially I had thought that it was a HP670, which I did try to use the drivers for. On closer examination and on comparison with another HP660C it was identical to the original except for the external markings.
