About a month ago, Tom's Hardware Guide had a review of heat sinks / fans;
also, there was a review of water cooling devices.

There were a few good ones, but most were disappointing.

Subject: [PCBUILD] Heat sink & cooling fan

Greetings,

I am building a new computer and have an SLI Motherboard, XFX nForce 680i
LT, I have a Core2 Quad 2.4 Hz cpu and want to get a really good heat sink
and cooling fan. What would you recommend? I prefer it to be quit, but am
more concerned about the effectiveness, don't want to burn out the cpu.

Also looking at power supplies, will the heat sink and fan make a
difference? Everything I have read points to whether or I will be using two
graphics cards. At this time i will not be, but maybe in a year I will. I am
currently planning on getting the Truepower Trio, 650 Watt, ATX12 v22 &
EPS12v.

Thanks for any ideas.

Mike Fitz
