Most hard drives have jumpers that need to be set as either master or slave drive.
Set the jumpers for this drive to slave, install in your pc, and boot using your
existing hard drive.  Most bios have an auto detect mode for hard drives and will
usually do the setup automatically when you boot up.   Most systems will identify
this as your 'D' drive and should be accessible thru windows explorer, etc.
Shortcuts can also be set up to point to software, etc. on the drive.
